By signing this document, you and your representatives agree to abide by the Stallholder Terms & Conditions as well as the Stallholders Guidelines as stated below.

Failure to adhere to the Guidelines and Rules will result in the withdrawal of approval for you to participate in the Market.

The Market Manager will decide whether to accept this Expression of Interest and will advise the applicant of its decision.

Stallholder Guidelines

  • Stallholders must maintain their stalls in a clean and tidy manner and must take away all unsold items, boxes, paper, wrappings, etc.
  • The stall space is defined by the markings made by the Market Manager. Booking of space and positioning of Stallholders are the responsibility of the Market Manager.
  • Car movement within the market must be with care and consideration of the public. The driver shall be totally and legally responsible for the parking and movement of the vehicle. For reasons of safety, vehicles may not move within the market area 30 minutes prior to and until 15 minutes after the advertised trading times unless the Market Manager closes the market earlier for any reason.
  • Stallholders are responsible for complying with all laws, rules and regulations relating to the goods offered for sale.
  • Stallholders are only to provide items that are listed on their application form unless authorized in writing by the Market Manager prior to a Market to extend their range.
  • Each Stallholder will be provided with an area to accommodate a marquee and in the car park stall area, additionally one vehicle park. All other vehicles must park in the designated car park alongside the Market.
  • Stallholders must provide all their required equipment including marquees with necessary weights, (minimum 15kg on each leg on marquees situated on MC2 forecourt)
  • Rubbish: The market operates on a bring-in take-out principle in relation to all rubbish, packaging, and recyclable materials. Waste bins will be available for the public use only.
  • Power: 15-amp 240v power is available for a limited number of stall locations on the MC2 forecourt.
  • Stallholders are responsible for supplying their own complying electrical extension lead. Individual Stallholders may be allowed to use their own generator if it is silent, but details must be in the application.
  • Fees: The site fees will be set by the Market Manager, currently these are;
    • Food stall: $60.00 incl GST, per market stall via TryBooking site
    • Art& Craft stalls: $50.00 incl GST, per market stall via TryBooking site
    • Powered sites, extra $5.00 per site
    • Paying on the day, add extra $5.00
  • Cancellation/Non-attendance: Please provide at least one week’s notice if you are unable to attend a market in order to allow time to find a suitable replacement. For notice given up to 48 hours prior to Market day, Stallholder fees will be credited to the next market. If notice is given less than 48 hours prior to market day, stallholder fees may be forfeited.
  • Approved applications will receive an email from the Stallholder Manager with a link for payment (via the Trybooking website) as well as other important market information.
  • Insurance: All stallholders will be required to hold a current Product and Public Liability Insurance Policy. A certificate of currency must be included with the application. Insurance can be purchased for $6.00 via our own Rotary insurance.
  • Receipt of applications: Applications must be submitted along with stall fees, a copy of the Product and Public Liability Insurance currency certificate and evidence of temporary food premises registration before they can be considered. All applications must be received at least 14 days prior to a market, with approval and registration issued to Stallholder before market attendance.
  • All prepared or value added food must be prepared in a registered kitchen and operated in accordance with the requirements of the local Health Act. This includes labelling in accordance with Australian Food Standards. Registration details must be provided with the application.
  • Application for registration of a Statement of Trade application is ESSENTIAL for food and beverage handling stalls and must be made separately to the appropriate Council.
  • The Market Manager reserves the right to refuse admission to the Market to any person and to eject or cause to be ejected any person and/or his/her goods and chattels without giving any reason. This decision is final and binding.
  • The Market Manager shall not be liable to any person using these premises for any personal injury or loss or damage howsoever arising whether by negligence or otherwise of the Market Manager or its servants or incurred or suffered by that person.
  • In the event that weather or other circumstances prevent the Market Manager from staging a market, the Market Manager will endeavor to advise Stallholders as early as possible. In such circumstances, the Market will not be responsible for any losses incurred by Stallholders and stallholder fees will be credited to the next market.


If I am accepted as a stallholder for Doncaster Hill Market, I will:

I agree and understand:

  • That the market is an event from month to month and in the unlikely event that a market is cancelled, or in the event that I, the stallholder, am unable to attend a market as previously communicated, the party cancelling or unable to attend will act in good faith towards the other and give to the other as soon as possible notice of the same and that in these circumstances neither party will be entitled to or will claim loss or damage from the other.
  • That the requirements and rules of the DHM may change from time to time and I will be notified accordingly.
